SMART (Standardized Monitoring and Assessment for Relief and Transitions) is a simplified and standardized household-level survey methodology used to understand the severity and magnitude of a public health situation.
The basic indicators for assessing the severity of a crisis are the mortality and the nutritional status among children 5 to 59 months of age
Detail activities
• Prepare survey proposal
• Select data collectors, Tam leaders and supervisors
• Provide training for data collectors and supervisors
• Conduct standardization test
• Conduct field test
• Conduct survey and data entry on daily bases
• Analysis data using ENA and interpret the data
• Produce preliminary report
• Produce final report with possible recommendation and share with concerned body
• Prepare action plan with all partners
